A Brand New Series!
Sticking to my new form, I’m saying goodbye to roses and hello, yellow! This next month will be focused around bright, fruity, summer-timey favorites. Get ready for lots of bright colors, fruit-inspired picks, and summer sips. I’m super excited for what’s to come, and I could not wait at all to post this little lemon jumpsuit!
Making Lemonade Out of Lemons… Or at least a good jumpsuit
Aye yai yai! I’ve had a lot of life happenings lately. It’s not exactly the kind of stuff I want to pump all over the internet, but let me just say I’ve become very practiced at making some lemonade out of lemons. I have to say, that a fail-proof option to converting some lemons into lemonade is a little retail therapy…Not exactly the best option for my bank account, but sheesh… a little shopping really does me good. Enter a little lemon jumpsuit, and I am a happy girl!
A Little Collaboration Love
All photos are by Elizabeth Cook Photography. Liz is an absolute gem, and I cannot recommend her enough if you’re looking for a photographer in Austin! This lady not only takes stunning photos, but totally acted like I was not a crazy person when I forgot all my outfits to our first scheduled shoot. (I still seriously do not know how, how I could do that!?) Not only that, but she then met me at 7:30am in South Austin to get some awesome shots. It’s not often you find someone who is equally kind as they are talented! Seriously–go book this girl!
Jump On It
Many fashion girls swear by some standard staples: black jeans, a good button down… me–I cannot say enough good about a jumpsuit. It’s a one-and-done outfit that’s even better than a dress (legs covered!!!) So many of my friends, however, have literally confessed to being scared to wearing one. Their reasons range from thinking it’s too much of a statement piece to not thinking it will be flattering. These are usually the fears of people who have never tried on a jumpsuit! Put one on and witness their magic.
Finding Pieces That Make You Happy
I recently read this piece of advice about shopping: when you put on a new piece of clothing, focus primarily on how it makes you feel. Sometimes, it’s good to throw functionality out the window. If you truly love something–trust me–you’ll find plenty of excuses to wear it!
This little number instantly put a smile on my face. The fun print, sweet colors, and lots of little lemons. It’s a part of Anthropologie’s summer collection, which I’m a little too obsessed with. Plus, I snagged it a petite size, which is a must for getting the right length.
As I mentioned above, all photos are by Elizabeth Cook Photography!
