Updating Your Makeup for Fall
I have made it no secret how much I love fall. This is my first fall in New England, and wow, does it live up to the hype! I am diving in full force into the season, and I want my makeup routine to do the same.
I’ve found a few pieces that do just the trick to make me fit right into the season:
I am in love with these hues from J. Hannah. I first tried these at ten over ten in austin, and could not get enough. With names like Ghost Ranch, Isla, and Marzipan, you feel cool just reading them. They also wear great. My pedicure with J. Hannah polish lasted waaaay longer than polishes usually last. Needless to say, these are my go-to polishes for fall.
Charlotte Tilbury is my all time favorite makeup designer. PLEASE check out her videos on her site. They are oddly addicting, great tutorials, and kind of unintentionally hilarious. This season, she’s debuted her contour sticks, and hallelujah – prayers have been answered. I love to beat a face, but struggle with creating a contour with powders. In comes this magic tool, and I am set.
As I’ve said before, hand me some Ouai products, and I am a happy lady. This season, the texturizing spray is one of the first things I reach for when getting ready in the morning. It not only gives me a ton of great volume, but separates and maximizes my curls, too. I even got my mom hooked… despite the fact that she thinks it’s hilarious to call it quinoa because she can never remember how it’s pronounced.
A good contour can take even your puffiest, sleepiest face and make you selfie-ready. A key part is a good highlight. There’s none better than Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze & Glow. It goes on shimmery, smooth, and not at all glittery. Get ready to get glowing.
