Mackenzie Dunn: Puppy Wrangler
I knew getting a puppy would be something that would require energy, but WHEW! This baby Tate will knock you out! He is an active little fellow and is full of adventure, surprises, and ideas. Needless to say, when I’m romping around with Tate, I’m almost always in leggings and a tshirt. It is by far the most puppy friendly option. Lately, however, Tate has been branching out and exploring Boston with me. This has called for some outfits that are both Tate friendly and that still make me feel like myself. Enter: the best jeans ever.
Being with Tate means being up, down, and all around. I really struggle with finding jeans that are both comfortable and functional. They’re either totally cool and totally stiff, or very comfy and very unflattering. Then I gave these 10″ high rise jeans from Madewell a go, and my world was changed!
When I was in college, I lived in a pair of Madewell jeans. Then, I felt like the fit was different when I went to repurchase down the line, and I gave up on my one-perfect-pair jeans. On a whim, I went to try these 10″ babies on, and I can’t say enough how much I love them. For one, with me and jeans, the higher the waist – the better… aaaand you can’t get much higher than 10″.
These jeans are also packed with stretch! (Perfect for playing with pups!) I can count on no sagging or no sad mid-day “pooch” in the front because these jeans come with magic pockets. It’s a feature Madewell has implemented to ensure that your jeans flatten and flatter all day long. Three, there is no awkward “these jeans cover my butt, but don’t fit my waist” gap that my big booty girl friends will identify with.
Back to Brunette
Oh. YEAH! I also said “goodbye” to blonde because I’m done having more fun! (In real life, I was just very tired of maintaining…and paying for… blonde locks. I’ve been blonde for several years now, and I was ready to switch it up.
