New Year, New Me – right? How’re your resolutions going? In case you’re needing a little boost, here are some popular New Year resolutions and a few online resources to help you stick to ’em:
Become More Involved In Politics: Sister District Project
If you’re wanting to #resist but not too sure how, click on over to Sister District. I learned about Sister District from one of my favorite podcasts, Call Your Girlfriend. The idea is that very established blue areas can lend a hand in elections that are right on the fence of going blue. There are so many ways to pitch in that are truly making a difference. Sister District aims to ensure that all Americans have equal representation and that our government works for all people, not just the minority in power.
Get Into Shape: Sweat App
The Sweat App is my dream come true. It gives me a work out schedule, 30 minute workouts that actually count, and easy ways to track my progress. I am not one to work out with a group. I hate it. This lets me work out at home on my own time. My favorite part is the short, simple video demonstrations of how to do the exercises so you’re not left wondering what the heck a mountain climber is – it shows you!
Help Your Creative Business: The School of Styling
It has always been my dream to join one of the School of Styling’s workshops. They look like a fairytale class that teach you everything you’ve always wanted to know (but didn’t know who to ask) about running a creative service/business. TSOS is launching their very first Online Academy this month, and I cannot wait. It’s entitled “Learn the 6 things I wish I knew when I started my business 5 years ago!” From pricing to balancing life and work, this online workshop covers it all. I can’t wait to log in!
Decorate Your Home: Chairish
I am obsessed with Chairish. From little knick knacks to bigger pieces, this website is like a little design mecca. The who’s who of interior designers pick their favorite pieces (both large scale furniture and home accessories) that you can purchase with just a few clicks. These pieces come from homes across the US… Think of it like a really really pretty eBay.
Network Better: Moo.com
As someone who prints things for a living, I’ve gotta send you to Moo.com for all of your printing needs. (PS, use this link and get 20% off!) Moo is the best place to turn on the web for affordable and pretty business cards, postcards, and more. You can upload your own design or use some of their templates. Their customer service is also the best. Anything at all wrong? They’ll reprint!
Update Your Wardrobe: The Real Real
I love shopping designer labels. Who doesn’t?! I do not like paying full price. However, it’s a little tricky to hunt through authentic pieces online. In steps The Real Real. Everything is 100% authenticated and so easy to shop through. You can find so many great pieces for a fraction of the original price.
